Fast Charlie (2023)

Rating: 5/10
Runtime 90 minutes

One might assume that if a film is titled "Fast Charlie," the lead role wouldn't be played by a 70-year-old Pierce Brosnan. Yet if Brosnan was chosen, one could expect the film to be edited in a way that portrays Charlie as particularly swift. However, this is not the case.

Consider the scene depicted at the bottom of this page. The antagonist instructs Charlie to discard his weapon, then becomes preoccupied with shutting a trunk, even ceasing to aim his firearm at Charlie. Instead of seizing the opportunity to shoot the distracted villain, Charlie complies and discards his gun.

Perhaps I'm missing something; maybe the director intended the title of the movie as ironic.

Charlie Swift, a problem-solving hitman, is facing a dilemma: the thug he's eliminated is decapitated, and he will only be compensated if the body can be identified. Enter Marcie Kramer, the victim's former spouse, who possesses the necessary knowledge and skills Charlie requires.

Wait. I am confused again. Who exactly is the fixer here?
