Ocean's Eleven (2001)
"Ocean's Eleven" is a gripping heist film that will keep you guessing and perched on the edge of your seat until the final credits roll. It's an impressive feat for a remake to surpass its original, yet this film accomplishes just that.
The story follows Danny Ocean and his band of ten accomplices as they ingeniously plot to rob three Las Vegas casinos at the same time. The narrative is as much about suspense as it is about style. What's the deal with "Ocean's Eleven?"You've got this team of misfit criminals, right? And apparently, they're all incredibly handsome. Are these guys criminals, or models for a GQ cover shoot? I'm not sure if they're about to rob a casino or start a boy band.
And another thing, when did planning a heist become so casual? They're sitting around eating shrimp cocktail, cracking jokes, like they're planning a weekend trip to Vegas, not a multi-million dollar theft. If I were planning something that could get me 20 years in prison, I think I'd be a little more focused on the plan instead of the aperitifs!
Inside Man (2006)
